Easter Celebrations

Class 5 have had a fun day taking part in Egg Pacing and our class decorated egg competition. 

Well done to Riley for winning the decorated egg competition and to Ieuan for winning the Egg Pacing.

Tests and Spelling

Yesterday and today we did tests to see how much we have learnt in our Abacus Maths lessons this term. 

Today we did spellings before lunch.

The tests were easy for some but hard for others and the spellings the same. 

The tests are maths tests and the spelling 'u' words.

We have been putting our spellings in alpherbetical order and doing speech marks and speech bubbles.

We had loads of fun playing rugby games with our coaches. 

Big Writing - letter from Christophe

We received a reply from our last letter to Babi. In today's lesson we wrote back to Babi telling him how we were getting on in our new school. 

We had to write in the first person and show empathy with Christpohe,

English Skills - Adjectives

We have been writing some sentences for grammar using adjectives to explain how we think our character felt at different parts of our story.

This afternoon we are going to up-level our diary entries from Christophe's Story. We will use some of the new sentences we have written in our up-levelled work.

Diary Entry - Planning for Big Write

We have been planning to write a diary entry about the main character from the book we have been reading.

The book is called, 'Christophe's Story'.

We have been doing hot seating to pretend we were Christophe. We had to show empathy and say how we were feeling during different parts of the story.
